lovely spot! drinks are all so delicious. i've tried the banana matcha & banana nutella coffee and really enjoyed both. the spot is a little small and gets crowded pretty easily, you usually won't find any seats from the hours of 12pm-4pm which is a little frustrating. still really good drinks! banana matcha - 4/5. the banana flavor could be a little stronger but super delicious nonetheless. banana nutella coffee - 5/5. this coffee is honestly perfect, i think the banana, nutella, and coffee flavors blend together really well to create a really delicious drink. would recommend!

Came here on a hot Tuesday afternoon and the place was packed! There is ample seating and their boba and coffee options are reasonable compared to others in the area, less than $6. Coffee is strong here and really refreshing! Love the atmosphere - seems to be a student hang out

Love the egg coffee. If you like creamy this is the one. I've also tried the coconut coffee which is pretty good too. I normally get mine less sweet. With both drinks you can adjust the sweet level - (regular or less) There's almost always a bit of wait... especially late morning/noon. There's seating along the perimeter of the shop. The shaking beef banh mi is pretty good. Spam musubi is ok. Nothing special about it. My go to place when in the area when craving something more decadent.

This is probably on of the BEST matcha places in the east bay. They are so hard to come by. The banana matcha is the best it is literally so delicious. I tried the pandan matcha before and it was just okay. There's cute little seats but can get really packed especially on the weekend. A pro is that there is a HUGE parking lot.

Pandan cream on matcha? Heck yes! I finally stopped by Phin early at opening around 7am on a weekday. I was the only customer there until someone picked up an online order. Just my luck they serve food first thing in the AM! Everything was so delicious I went back on Saturday for more-- place was packed! *Iced Pandan Matcha *Spam & Egg Musubi (2 pieces) *Grilled Chicken Banh Mi *Pork Roll & Pâté Banh Mi *Pandan Waffle I got less sweet & less ice for the pandan matcha-- soo good! Flavors aren't too strong so they don't overpower one another. I can definitely detect the pandan aftertaste. The matcha did seem roasted, had a bit of seaweed flavor like how hojicha can be sometimes. They add a wafer roll on top. Other cream options include: ube, egg, coconut, durian, original, etc. Spam & egg musubi was amazing in the morning! The spam was fried so crisp and sweetened with musubi teriyaki sauce. Furikake just tied it all together. I love how there was rice at the top and bottom. Grilled chicken banh mi OMG! The whole fam loved this. Flavorful and hearty without being heavy. Love me some pork roll & pâté! Such a generous portion for $7.50! I would've liked more cucumber but that's just me. Green. Pandan. Waffle. Uh YES!! This has got to be my favorite and I've tried so many! First off, it's not dark green. They use the real stuff! It's so aromatic and has the finest sprinkling of desiccated coconut baked throughout without making the texture all weird. I will get this again and again! Soo many drinks I want to try next! OG (milk tea + cheese creama) & Orangey Peach Lemongrass Oolong fruit tea just to name a few Employees are chill and helpful. Ample amount of seating and it's busy on weekends. Order ahead!

We arrived 15 minutes before the shop closed down for the day. We called in advance to make sure the kitchen would be open still by the time we got there. At this point a lot of their teas and other drinks were unable to be made/served, which makes sense for the time at which we arrived. Sorry again to the workers there for the last-minute appearance, but extremely grateful for still serving us even near the end of the work day! I ordered the Volcano milk tea which is their brown sugar fresh milk drink. The brown sugar profile is one of the best I've had in terms of brown sugar drinks. The boba was really soft, although a bit too soft for my liking. The cream cheese was a nice addition to the drink, but maybe next time I will make the drink less sweet as it was bordering being just a bit too sweet. The inside of the shop is really nice, clean, and calming. There are outlets at each table, so it makes for a great place to study if you happen to be in search of a study spot!

It was my first time trying this Vietnamese-style cafe and I'm really impressed! Located in a busy shopping center with a noodle soup, boba shop, grocery store, and fast food Phin has no problem attracting customers. As their interior decor says, it's "traditional meets modern taste" with a menu offering boba, coffee, banh mi, and more. When I was there it was packed - almost every seat was taken. Due to the popularity I had to wait a little bit for my order but it was well worth the wait! I got the berry medley (half sweet) and a special combo banh mi sandwich. You have the option to customize sweetness level and add boba if you wish. My drink was tart and refreshing, not too sweet, but the sandwich is what's going to keep me coming back. The rich creaminess of the pate combined with a crunchy (but not too overly hard - hard bread is terrible) French roll are two textures I'll never ever get tired of. Everything about this place feels fresh, from the decor to the food to the beverages. Parking can be tricky as it's a shared space with all the other businesses nearby but there is also some street parking available. Note that they offer a rewards system that you can sign up for with your phone number. Pretty sure I'll be back :)
